Besides the ensemble of heroines, Ewan McGregor's portrayal of the sinister Roman Sionis, also known as Black Mask, gives the film an unexpectedly enthralling antagonist.

Blending lively colors with a grungy aesthetic, the film enjoys a visually appealing production design. The contrast between the girls’ vibrant energy and the grimy, dangerous streets of Gotham gives a grunge feel to the atmosphere. This simultaneously advocates the female empowerment theme while not shying away from the grit and grime of their surroundings.
