A dramatic event leads Jeetu to fake his own death and he is later found unconscious by a pair of fishermen. Misinterpreting his condition as a physical disability, the fishermen decide to help him and seek refuge in the house of a wealthy but uncanny Gujarati family. Meanwhile, his family is led to believe he is no more, and the supposed death wipes away all their debts, providing them a fresh start.

While under the care of this kind-hearted Gujarati family, Jeetu's life takes an unexpected turn. He meets Shruti (played by Kareena Kapoor), mute from birth, who is also residing in the same house. Despite the hurdles of communication, they form a unique bond. The trajectory of Jeetu's life changes as he becomes deeply entangled in the quirky, uproarious family dynamics. His new life, however, is not devoid of challenges, from managing the eccentricities of family members to navigating his growing feelings for Shruti.
