Daylight

Struggling to maintain control over their situation while being manipulated and threatened by a dangerous and cunning stranger, the couple must use their wits to survive and escape their increasingly precarious position.

Barker’s film borrows heavily from thrillers and suspense films of the past, creating a sense of ever-looming dread. However, it's his brilliant pacing and use of narrative ambiguity that sets 'Daylight' apart. The viewer is constantly kept guessing the intentions of all three characters, as the story vacillates between potential victim and aggressor.

Alexandra Meierhans as Irene displays a potent combination of vulnerability and strength as the expecting mother battling a dire situation. Her ability to pivot between fear and resilience induces significant depth to her character.
