Defiance

However, life in the city neighborhood is not as calm and peaceful as it appears on the surface. The place is heavily under the control of a violent street gang headed up by Angel (Rudy Ramos), who seemingly own the neighborhood and the residents who live in it. Angel's gang runs rampant, terrorizing the local citizens, vigorously imposing their will, and making life hell for everyone who crosses their path. But Tommy, a stubborn, tough, and independent outsider, won't just stand by and watch.

While the local citizens live in fear and are too intimidated to fight back, Tommy takes a stand. He sticks up for the powerless community, creating tension between him and the thugs. This gutsy move throws him into a violent confrontation with the gang leaders. Aiello gives a vigorous performance as Carmine, a neighborhood bar owner torn between his role as peacekeeper and the grim reality of dealing with the gang.
