Fukrey Returns

Fukrey Returns is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and helmed by veteran producer Farhan Akhtar. It is the sequel to the popular 2013 film, 'Fukrey'. The film continues the comic escapades of the loveable Delhi troublemakers: Hunny, Choocha, Lali, and Zafar. It brings back the entire ensemble cast of the first film, with Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Manjot Singh reprising their roles.

Things take a thrilling turn in this film as Bholi Punjaban, played by the incredibly talented Richa Chadda, gets out of prison and is thirsting for revenge. Meanwhile, Pulkit Samrat as Hunny is still the street-smart ringleader of the group, dealing with the aftermath of his actions from the first film. Ali Fazal as Zafar and Manjot Singh as Lali are commendable as they try to navigate their way through the tumult and handle Bholi as well.

Richa Chadda deserves a standalone mention for her potrayal of Bholi Punjaban. She weaves magic with her stunning performance, matching the comedic timing of the main cast while maintaining the menacing vibe of her character. Her face-off scenes with the 'fukras' are some of the best moments in the film.

The film also features Pankaj Tripathi, a veteran of Hindi cinema, who returns as Panditji, helping the fukra gang with his wise aphorisms and dry humor. His eccentric character is surely one of the highlights of the film. Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh also return in their roles as Priya and Neetu, the respective love interests of Hunny and Lali.
