Seeing this as his big break and opportunity to prove that he is more than his current circumstance permits, Louis assembles an eclectic team of misfits that shares the same interest in paranormal encounters.

His ragtag team includes his best friend Stan, portrayed by David Krumholtz, who manages an electronics store and shares Louis’s aspirations. Next is Ross, played by Justin Long, a sarcastic mall cop with a dry wit who's concomitantly thrilled and skeptical about the endeavor. Rounding out the crew are Ellie, a wild-card goth witch who's "in touch with the spirits," Zak, a clueless spa technician who doesn’t really get what's happening, and Victoria, an over-eager local cable access TV host who sees the potentially haunted farm as her ticket to fame.
