Against all these odds, Porter and Moore continue to strive with every ounce of determination, to transform this group of misguided youth from gang members to athletes, making them see the value of sportsmanship, perseverance, and respect.

Dwayne Johnson delivers an earnest performance as Sean Porter, displaying his versatility that goes beyond action-packed roles. He convincingly embodies the spirit of a man who steadfastly believes in giving second chances and is prepared to fight for what he believes. Xzibit, too, impresses with a sincere portrayal of his character, showing his acting chops.

The supporting cast, comprising mostly of relatively new young actors, perfectly emulates the gruff and troubled exterior of their characters while also effectively portraying their internal struggles and eventual transformation. The presence of L. Scott Caldwell, playing the character of a caring, yet stern, probation officer, adds depth to the story.
