Head Film

Head Film (1971)** 1/2 (out of 4)Wakefield Poole directed this short, which starts off showing men cook and this is followed up by a shot of Marylin Monroe as seen through the work of Andy Warhol. The first portion of the short has a man cooking dinner and then we see him cooking it in the nude before flashing back to when he has clothes on. We then see, through time lapse, him eating the food. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking to be found in this film but it's at least entertaining and has a nice flow to it. The music score and soundtrack is taken from various commercials and added over the footage we're looking at. Some of this adds some nice humor but the real star here is the editing, which was quite good and managed to help the ten minute running time go by rather quickly.
