She is strong, intelligent, and possesses an unwavering will to survive, characteristics typical of the “final girl” archetype in slasher films.

Jeff Geddis as Professor Brandon Lowe presents an intelligent yet opportunistic character, who makes some crucial decisions that move the plot forward. Despite his intellectual prowess, his judgment is clouded by his ambitious motives, resulting in consequences that affect everyone on the ship.

Jason X displays an audacious mix of horror and science fiction, utilizing the futuristic setting to the fullest. Spaceships, cryogenic chambers, and advanced AI systems blend seamlessly with the masked murderer's relentless pursuit, creating an atmosphere of dread and anticipation. In a distinct departure from the series’ norms, instead of the shadowy woods and the eerily silent lake, Jason now wreaks havoc in the confined spaces of a spaceship, using the technological novelties to his murderous advantage.

Despite being the tenth entry into the Friday the 13th series, the movie does not require prior knowledge of its predecessors. As an extension of the franchise, it stands on its own due to its altered setting and unique narrative approach.
