In an interesting turn of events, both Karan and Anjali are set up to meet each other for a prospective arranged marriage.

The story gradually unfolds as the two young individuals meet and embark on a journey from their respective homes to the place of their arranged meeting. Several unexpected and funny events lead to their paths crisscrossing, and they unknowingly end up spending a lot of time together. During their journey, they mock, irritate, and tease each other but eventually, their bickering turns into a budding friendship and they unknowingly start developing feelings for each other. The writer cleverly uses this journey as a metaphor for the journey of life and love.

How their friendship blooms into love, how they discover each other's true identities and their reactions when they come to know about the arranged meet forms the crux of the story. The narrative conflicts with the age-old ideology of fixed marriages and true love which forms the core essence of the film. At various stages of the film, viewers may find themselves contemplating what they would do if placed in the characters' roles.
