Ladies Room

Ladies Room is a 1999 comedy-drama film that dips into the often-bizarre world of feminine interaction and provides an exclusive intimate glimpse at those captivating, mysterious and hysterical moments that happen in, well, — the ladies' room.

Renowned stage and screen star, Gabriella DiMarco, portrayed by Lorraine Bracco (best known for her roles in The Sopranos and Goodfellas), leads the ensemble cast, embodying a middle-aged theatre actress grappling with fading fame, increasing age, and changing relationships in an industry and a world that adores youth. German actress, Veronica Ferres, known for international productions like Salt and Fire and Pay the Ghost, portrays a woman struggling to define her personal and professional relationship with her male business partner. Penotti does an excellent job of leveraging nuanced screenplay and stellar performances to narrate frank, genuine, and often relatable stories of femininity and friendship, thereby broadening the shallow mainstream depictions of women.
