Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising is a comedy movie released in 2016, the sequel to the 2014 movie "Neighbors." The film is centered around an escalating conflict in an urban neighborhood, a comedic clash involving Mac and Kelly Radner (played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) and a newly formed sorority lead by Shelby (Chloë Grace Moretz), which moves in next door. The comedic timing of the dialogues, raucously fun-filled scenes and parties, coupled with slapstick moments and an underlying level of emotion and connectivity make the movie more than just another comedy sequel.

Another exceptional aspect of the film is its cinematography. Brandon Trost captures various scenes, from wild sorority, fun outdoors, to aerial shots, in a vivid and lively manner in a way that keeps the audience visually engaged throughout the film.

Although it is jam-packed with raunchy jokes and explicit humor, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising also makes an effort to address important college-life themes. The female characters in the movie aren’t just there for the laughs but give a strong message about the issues women face in college life, including the male-dominated party culture of fraternities, their sobering initiation rituals, and sexist college rules.

In conclusion, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising ticks a lot of boxes for a successful comedy sequel. It ingeniously reverses the roles and thus brings a refreshing change in dynamics between the characters.
