Planes is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated sports comedy film produced by DisneyToon Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It forms part of an ensemble of movies envisioned under John Lasseter, the magnate behind Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. Dane Cook voices the lead character, Dusty Crophopper. Dusty is plucky, single-engine crop duster plane who dreams of becoming a racing aircraft. Alazraqui breathes life into El Chupacabra, who is at once confident and dramatic, representing an endearing comedic foil to Dusty's central mission.

Veteran actor Stacy Keach assumes the character of Skipper Riley, a gruff but good-hearted naval aviator who becomes Dusty's mentor. Keach’s seasoned lilt adds layers to Skipper’s character revealing him as a wise, if a tad broken-winged mentor, who guides Dusty in his journey, not just to be an exceptional racer, but to understand what it truly means to be a superb aircraft.
