Robot Wars

Robot Wars is a 1993 American post-apocalyptic, science fiction and action film set in a dystopian future starring Don Michael Paul, Barbara Crampton and James Staley. The film is directed by Albert Band and produced by Charles Band, with a screenplay written by Charles Band and Jackson Barr.

Drake's world teeters on the precipice of chaos when a devious enemy plots to seize control of the Mega-1, intending to use its destructive capabilities to wage another war. With the fate of the remaining human civilization hanging in the balance, Drake is thrust into the challenge of his life. He must rally together with companions to thwart this dangerous threat.

Playing opposite to Don Michael Paul is Barbara Crampton as Leda, a courageous and intelligent woman who becomes Drake's ally and romantic interest. Crampton’s role brings a much-needed female protagonist to the front, adding depth and balance to the story. Their chemistry lends the film some of its most engaging moments.

James Staley plays Stumpy, a compatriot of Drake and Leda, and his performance brings a level of humour and light-heartedness to the mix, forging a strong camaraderie.
