Their paths cross when Ambar contacts Nick for a radio interview about Indian settlers in Australia. Their personalities are polar opposite: while Nick is highly laid back and carefree, Ambar is responsible and serious about her future. These two discover their differences early on, but as it often happens, opposites attract.

Salaam Namaste unwraps the journey of these two independent-minded individuals exploring life abroad, while pushing the boundaries of their respective personal freedom, desires, and definitions of love.
