Sex Tape is a 2014 American romantic comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Kate Angelo, Jason Segel, and Nicholas Stoller. This high-concept comedy features an ensemble cast including Jason Segel, Cameron Diaz, Rob Corddry, Ellie Kemper, and Rob Lowe.

However, due to a technological mishap involving ‘the cloud,’ they soon realize their infamous video has been synced to the iPads they gave away as gifts over the past year, including to family, friends, neighbours, work associates, mailman, and the scholarship committee of Annie's potential future employer.

Horrified and embarrassed, the couple scrambles frantically to retrieve the iPads, in an attempt to erase any evidence of their spicy experiment. Joined by the zany comedic relief of best friends, Robby and Tess (Rob Corddry and Ellie Kemper), the couple’s mission to recover all devices becomes increasingly complicated. Along the way, they inadvertently uncover some startling secrets about the people in their lives.

Adding another layer to the comedy, Annie and Jay also have to wrangle with Hank Rosenbaum (Rob Lowe), Annie’s prudish potential boss who unwittingly possesses one of the distributed iPads. Lowe’s performance, complete with charming eccentricities, provides some of the film's funniest moments.

However, amidst the commotion and humor, the movie subtly explores deeper themes.
