Todd emerges into this alien world, a trained killer grappling with a society defined by peace and cooperation. He thus begins to confront his own humanity, finding himself wrestling with emotions and connections, having been stripped of them since birth.

The film sees a stellar supporting performance by Jason Isaacs who plays Colonel Mekum, the officer in charge of the genetically enhanced soldiers, who is resolute in his pursuit of creating the perfect military machine, disregarding any ethical quandaries.
