The plot of "Speed" revolves around four characters, all engulfed in a wild race against time where survival is the ultimate goal. Siddharth Verma (Sanjay Suri) is a software engineer, a diligent worker who is captivated by his beautiful wife Nandini (Urmila Matondkar). With a seemingly perfect life, Nandini is the epitome of a loving, faithful wife. Meanwhile, Sanjay’s close friend, Rohan (Zayed Khan), a successful and charming sports person, has an undercurrent of friendship, and respect characterizes their brotherhood.

But when the tranquillity of their lives is disrupted by a phone call, the movie takes a massive turn. A stranger with a malicious agenda manipulates all three characters to fulfil his sinister designs. This mysterious caller (Aftab Shivdasani) turns their lives upside down, driving them into a vortex of fear and danger. With every ticking second, escalating terror unfolds as they become the puppets in the stranger's hands, leading to a high-voltage climax of 'run for life.’

Director Vikram Bhatt does a remarkable job tying together the intricate sub-plots to create a compelling narrative that holds together until the very end. Action sequences in "Speed," kept meticulously engaging, serve as the backbone of the film. Sanjay Suri fits in the role of Siddharth Verma, presenting a delightful mixture of simplicity and brilliance, while Zayed Khan, as the macho sportsman, adds the necessary flair to his character.

Aftab Shivdasani’s act as the antagonist, the faceless tormentor, is impressive. Aashish Chaudhary and Amrita Arora also do justice to their roles, by adding depth to their respective characters. Supporting roles by Sophie Choudry and Tanushree Dutta also are engaging and well-played.

The film's technical aspects, including cinematography and editing, are equally commendable in "Speed.” Each frame exudes a sense of urgency, thus holding true to the movie’s title. The movie beautifully captures the bustling city of London, turning the city’s landscape into a thrilling backdrop for terror and suspense to play out.

In terms of music, the film's soundtrack composed by Pritam adds suspenseful undertones gear to multiply the suspense. The songs are catchy, with an eclectic mix of mellow numbers and adrenaline-pumping tracks combined smartly to create an engaging and melodious soundtrack.
