Living on the streets and at the mercy of an uncaring society, Tom rides through the unforgiving world with little but hope in his heart.

The film's primary invites audiences into a real-life horror show as we watch what happens on the ill-fated night when Brandi hits Tom with her car, resulting in him becoming lodged in her windshield. The accident, however, is just the beginning. It is the aftermath that forms the crux of the movie, as the desperate Brandi decides to take drastic measures upon realizing the accident could potentially jeopardize her future career prospects.

Stephen Rea's portrayal of the victim, stuck in a seemingly endless nightmare, is both emotionally impactful and physically demanding.

Supporting performances from Russell Hornsby, as Brandi's boyfriend Rashid, along with the rest of the cast, add additional dimension to the tale. The contrast between Brandi's attempt to maintain a façade of normalcy in her life and Tom's struggle to survive offers the film its haunting impact.

Stuck, despite being based on a deeply disturbing incident, is anything but straightforward. It contains elements of a socio-political commentary, shining a light on the socio-economic differences and everyday survival struggles within society. The film underscores what can happen when those struggles and fears lead to immoral choices and how the consequences of those decisions can be life-altering.

The director, Stuart Gordon, known for his horror films, adeptly handled the combination of suspense, horror, and dark humor that the story commanded.
