Summer School

Other colourful characters include the lovable foreign exchange student, Anna-Maria, and the seriously silent Eakian. The depiction of the widely differing personalities of the students adds depth and dimension to the film, making it enjoyable and relatable for the audience.

Additionally, Kirstie Alley plays Robin Bishop, a stern history teacher who is off-duty for the summer, but has to deal with Shoop's antics and the erratic students. Their interaction adds a romantic subplot to the otherwise comedy-drenched storyline. Robin Thomas, in contrast, plays a rather straight-faced Vice-Principal Gills who is sceptical about Shoop's unconventional teaching methods.
