Underdog

Underdog, directed by Frederik Du Chau, is a 2007 action-adventure comedy film that blends live action and computer-generated animation. The movie is based on the 1960s animated television series of the same name and tells the story of an ordinary beagle who mysteriously gains incredible superpowers.

Jason Lee, well known for his charismatic performances, expertly blends humor, adventure, and compassion in his voice-acting role as Shoeshine/Underdog. Returning home, the newly super-powered Shoeshine is adopted by a former police officer, Dan Unger (played by Jim Belushi), and his teenage son, Jack (Alex Neuberger). Jack soon learns about Underdog's unique abilities and becomes his confidant.

The narrative of Underdog takes some interesting turns with the introduction of Polly Purebred (voiced by the enchanting Amy Adams), the object of affection for our four-legged hero. Adams’ endearing portrayal of Polly Purebred adds a layer of sweetness and depth to the movie.
