Meanwhile, Joel Edgerton is Brendan Conlon, Tommy's older brother, a high school physics teacher and family man. Once a promising fighter, Brendan had relinquished the violent sport for the comfortable life of academia and suburban tranquility. However, when he faces financial adversity and the threat of losing his home, Brendan is forced to step back into the punishing world of cage fighting. Populating the underdog's corner, Brendan begins his ardently dangerous journey to the 'Sparta.'
