Waterworld

Waterworld is a post-apocalyptic science fiction film, set in a distant dystopian future where melting polar ice caps have covered nearly all the earth's surface with water. Released in 1995, it features Kevin Costner, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and Dennis Hopper in its lead roles and is directed by Kevin Reynolds. The film presents a unique and intriguing world where mankind's continued existence hangs in the balance.

Kevin Costner plays the role of a loner drifter, who is simply known as the Mariner.
