Catch-22 is a television mini-series launched exclusively on Hulu in 2019. It's a perfect blend of dark humor, drama, and wartime commentary, expertly derived from Joseph Heller's satirical novel of the same title which was first published in 1961. The adaptation of this series is handled noteworthy, translating the sharp and edgy tone of the novel onto small screens, while weaving an impactful narrative relevant even in the modern context.

The series is set during the physical violence and psychological turmoil of World War II. It focuses on the furrowing depiction of the absurdity of war through the eyes of its main protagonist, Captain John Yossarian (Yoss), a U.S. Army Air Forces B-25 bombardier stationed on the Italian front. George Clooney, who besides being an executive producer and the director of some episodes, also stars as the perplexed Scheisskopf. Major Major Major Major is portrayed by Lewis Pullman, while Hugh Laurie makes an impression as Major De Coverley.

It's a poignant contemplation on death, power structures, and existential angst cloaked in brilliant storytelling.
