Doom Patrol

Doom Patrol is a superhero drama series created by Jeremy Carver for the DC Universe streaming service that premiered in 2019. The show draws its inspiration from the DC Comics superhero team of the same name, brainchild of writers Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani.

Joivan Wade plays Victor Stone, better known as Cyborg, who, after a tragic accident, is transformed into a superhero by his scientist father. Cyborg is portrayed as the heart and soul of the team, continuously wrestling with his identity as part machine, part man.

Brendan Fraser provides the voice and flashback appearances for Cliff Steele, a former race-car driver whose brain is transplanted into an indestructible robot body following a car crash. Fraser's voice acting captures Cliff's grief and frustration perfectly, making him a wonderfully complex and sympathetic figure.

The legendary actor Timothy Dalton brings to life Niles Caulder, a.k.a. The Chief, a brilliant but mysterious scientist responsible for bringing the team together. His intentions, however, remain a point of conflict and suspicion as the series progresses - a fine balance Dalton walks with ease.

Alan Tudyk portrays the show's main antagonist, Mr. Nobody, with a gleeful menace. Meanwhile, Matt Bomer provides the voice and flashback performances for Larry Trainor, a former test pilot imbued with a mysterious energy being.
