Father Ted

Father Ted is an iconic British-Irish sitcom that aired from 1995 to 1998. It was written by Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews under the production umbrella of Hat Trick Productions for the British-originated Channel 4. The titular character, 'Father Ted Crilly,' was played by the late great comedian, Dermot Morgan.

Set on the fictional and remote Craggy Island, somewhere off Ireland's west coast, the premise of the show revolves around the lives of three Roman Catholic priests: Father Ted Crilly, Father Dougal McGuire (played by Ardal O'Hanlon), and Father Jack Hackett (a hilarious performance by Frank Kelly). They're supervised by their housekeeper, Mrs. Doyle (an unforgettable performance by Pauline McLynn), who is on a quest to fulfill everyone's tea needs, whether it's welcomed or not. The running joke "Ah go on, go on, go on, go on", in an attempt to persuade everyone to have a cup of tea, is one of the show's most recognizable catchphrases.

Graham Norton makes an appearance in the show as Father Noel Furlong, a boisterous and hyperactive priest who always brings energy to the screen.
