Water. Without it, we die. Now, more and more, our vital supply of clean water is vanishing - evaporating. Jeff Corwin hosts this program which tells the compelling stories of Earth's animal species, many of which are dangerously close to extinction. Today's rate of wildlife extinction is surpassed only by the mass extinction of dinosaurs, which occurred some 70 million years ago.

It's an expedition without parallel - sail to the top of the world and set anchor on an angry, icy sea. Then, spend 6 months of eternal Polar night aboard a marooned vessel, months fraught with the peril of polar bear attacks and 50-degree-below-zero temperatures.
