Haikyuu!!

Haikyuu!! is an animated series that has cleverly brought together the worlds of high school and competitive sports, but more specifically – volleyball. The series first aired on Viewster from 2014 and continued its run through 2020.

The show centers around the volleyball-crazed Shoyo Hinata. Hinata’s love for volleyball started after watching an intense game during his early school years. Mesmerized by the ferocious playing of a team nicknamed the "small giants," Hinata set out on a journey to emulate their gameplay.

The dream seemed far fetched when Shoyo was the only member of his junior high-school volleyball club and was met with a crushing defeat in his first and final tournament by the star player of the team, Tobio Kageyama. Thankfully, his passion for the sport didn’t falter, and he remains resolute in his desire to become a valuable member of a volleyball team.

Once Hinata makes it to Karasuno High School, he joins the somewhat disillusioned and disjointed volleyball team. There he finds out he is teammates with his junior high nemesis, Kageyama. Initially, the rivals struggle to work together. As their tension escalates, the team's coach threatens to remove them from the team if they can't learn to work together.

In a turn of events, the rivals discover that they can use their antagonistic energy to their advantage by creating ambitious plays, melding their strengths into something that just might allow their team, the Karusano High School Crows, to take flight again and face off against the top-tier teams at the Inter-High School competition.

Thus begins their shared journey where they must balance personal ambition, youthful emotions, and teamwork dynamics to take the Karasuno Volleyball Club to new heights. Throughout the show, the audience witnesses not only the evolution of their partnership but the growth and development of their team and supporting characters.
