Heathers

Heathers, launched in 2018, is a dark comedy-drama television series that teeters on the gates of suburban high school life, caustically depicting the societal norms, popularity contests, and treacherous pathways of teenage existence. It is a modern repackaging of the 1989 cult classic film of the same name which starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. Meanwhile, Heather McNamara (Jasmine Mathews) is an African-American cheerleader remaining in the shadows of Chandler and Duke.

The cynical and acidic banter among the Heathers and their perpetual engagement in a machination of popularity ladders give the series its unique bite.
