The story takes place in a snowy land where we rejoin the familiar Ice Age family: Manny, a woolly mammoth, his mammoth wife Ellie, and their daughter Peaches. We also meet the hilarious saber-toothed squirrel Scrat who always lends a comic touch with his obsessive pursuit of acorns and invariably ending up in some sort of misfortune. The friendly Diego, a smilodon, and the hilarious Sid, a Megalonyx, also join in the fun. In this holiday featurette, Manny is determined to make Christmas incredibly special for Peaches, especially since it's her first Christmas. He tries to pull out all the stops, creating a massive 'Christmas Rock', as a festive tradition in the making.

However, things take a twist when Sid damages Manny's special Christmas Rock. Feeling awfully guilty, Sid decides to fix his blunder and embarks on a journey to the North Pole to search for Santa Claus, believing that placing his name on Santa's 'Naughty List' will absolve him. Along with him go Diego, who is skeptical about the entire journey, and Crash and Eddie, two mischievous little possums who are simply seeking an adventure. The adventurous journey is filled with hilarious incidents, close shaves, and lots of laughter.

Ellie and Manny, on the other hand, decide to venture out to find their friends and bring them safely home, ending up on an unforeseen adventure themselves. On this quest, not only do they have to deal with the challenges of the icy terrain, but they also encounter unexpected situations that make the journey all the more exciting.

Additionally, the show provides a light-hearted explanation of some Christmas traditions through a prehistoric lens, making for a refreshing take on the season's classic tales. It's a seasonal journey that weaves together the spirit of friendship, family, and the magic of Christmas.
