Lego Nexo Knights

Lego Nexo Knights is a 3D animated television series produced by the Lego Group for Cartoon Network. The series made its debut in 2015 and ran until 2017. It revolves around the fantastical, sci-fi inspired Kingdom of Knighton and five young knights in training who are tasked with defending it from the evil villain Jestro and an array of monstrous creatures.

The Nexo Knights include the daring and heroic Clay, the brazen Lance, the eccentric inventor Macy, the fearless Axle, and the anxious but clever Aaron. Each character possesses unique abilities and characteristics that make them a vital part of the team. Clay, the leader of the knights, is a dedicated and focused young man who always puts the wellbeing of the kingdom above all else. Lance is the charismatic son of nobility who enjoys the heroic spotlight. Macy is a girl of royal blood, grounded and aspiration-driven, trying to deviate from her destined royal path to become a knight. Axle is the largest and strongest, having an unending appetite, and Aaron is a daredevil who loves extreme sports and enjoys flying.

The knights use the high-tech digital wizard Merlok 2.0 to power up their armors. Following each episode, our brave knights use "Nexo Powers" – unique abilities granted by magical books scattered across Knighton – to upgrade their armors and confront the escalating threats posed by Jestro and the Book of Monsters, an ancient evil entity.

The villain Jestro, once the court jester of King and Queen Halbert, becomes corrupted after coming into contact with the Book of Monsters. This leads him onto a path of wrath, as he makes it his mission, under the guidance of the monstrous book, to collect all corrupted books of dark magic and wreak chaos in the peaceful Kingdom of Knighton. As the series progresses, Jestro's character greatly evolves, often offering comic relief despite his role as an antagonist.

Knighton, where the series takes place, is a beautifully imagined world set in the medieval times but fused with elements of futuristic technology, offering a visually appealing and enticingly contradictory aesthetic. Throughout the series, viewers get to witness many fascinating locales, including colossal castles, lively towns, and unsullied landscapes. However, these peaceful landscapes start shifting into chaotic scenes due to the frequent havoc caused by Jestro and his pack of monsters.
