Toxic Crusaders

Toxic Crusaders is an American animated television series that aired from 1991 to 1993. It was developed by Troma Entertainment, known for bringing outlandish concepts and over-the-top experiences to viewers. The series starred a talented voice cast, including Gregg Berger, Susan Blu, Rodger Bumpass, Paul Eiding, Ed Gilbert, John Mariano, Chuck McCann, Michael J. In the series, the Toxic Avenger was once a meek janitor named Melvin Junko, voiced by Rodger Bumpass. Among the other members of the Toxic Crusaders are No-Zone, whose sneezes are cyclone-powered after an encounter with radioactive sneezing powder, and Major Disaster, who can command plants following an incident with a radioactive bonsai tree. Susan Blu voices the character of Junkyard, a dog-man hybrid, while Kath Soucie delivers a stellar performance as Yvonne, the Toxic Avenger’s girlfriend. Other characters include Headbanger, a two-headed character voiced by both John Mariano and Chuck McCann; Psycho, a cyborg cop voiced by Gregg Berger; and Bonehead, a street gang member transformed into a skeleton, voiced by Patric Zimmerman.
